Yesterday was Arianna's first day of school. What fun! She couldn't even wait until we got home to open up her back pack and show me the work she'd done, and she was busy singing all the fun songs she had learned at school too. She loves music and she loves to make things, so as long as those options as available to her, she's set. Enzo was excited for her to be able to start something new and he really seemed to enjoy the 1-on-1 time w/ Mommy. I think he came out with two new words just in the 2 hours she was gone. But by the last 1/2 hour of class, he was sad and was asking for "nana," they sure have fun together!
The funniest part of the day was when she was telling Marco about school at dinner time. She said, "It was freaking raining when I got out of school!" Marco and I both stopped and said, "What??" She matter-or-factly repeated herself and Marco and I tried to hold back our laughter. We were so surprised to hear her say such a thing. I'd like to think she learned that at school, but I'm afraid I know better. We'll have to improve our vocab at home. ;) She picks up on everything!
As for Enzo's accomplishments, he finally said "yea" instead of "no"! I asked if he wanted a cracker, and usually he will say no even if he means yes, but sounds like he mya be changing his tune! Hooray!
My big accomplishment is that I FINALLY got some tomatoes to ripen! I have had quite the trouble w/ my 'garden' these past two years. Herriman soil isn't so friendly (we can blame it on that, right?). I was able to grow green tomatoes only last year, and this year was beginning to look much the same...until just this week! I don't have a ton, but I am slowly getting to harvest my very own vine ripe tomatoes, yum! Ahhh, simple pleasures!
And Marco is getting really good at dancing w/ 2 kids in tow. He can't pick up one w/o the other saying, "hold me" so he puts on his old favorite, Weezer and the three of them jam together. I love to see it! That gives me time enough to get the dinner mess cleaned up w/o any kids whining for something or other.
For Labor Day we took the kids to the Children's Discovery Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. The had a blast in the bear caves and bear tunnels, and Marco almost had them convinced that the recorded bear growels were real. They kept cool by the little Noah's Ark splash pad and got lost in the hedge mazes.Arianna enjoyed the beatiful flowers almost as much as I did, or at least she was willing to take advantage of a photo op.
We love holidays! Any time we can get Marco off work to play is fun! Hope your holiday weekend was all sorts of fun! Until next time..have fun!

I can't believe our girls are old enough to be going to preschool. I'm glad Enzo is enjoying his mommy time, Aiden is too. It looks like y'all had fun on Labor day.
