Our Little Soccer Star(s)

Arianna had her very first soccer game today. She had a blast! She HAD to have the BLUE shin gaurds, and black cleats w/ pink embellishments both of which she wears whenever possible. Of course, Enzo would LOVE to be wearing HIS uniform...he just doesn't have one yet. He keeps asking when 'we' can play soccer. So her games are now 'our' games, I love it! He'll be signing up next spring, I take it. He's great at dribbling! He cried tonight when we had to take the shin gaurds off for bed. Here they are,the Black Stallions.

Arianna told me tonight how much she likes her coach, so thank you Jordan! That looks like quite a job!

Then there is our little Massimo. Tomorrow is his 2 month birthday! I hate that he is growing up so fast. He is as sweet as can be though! Enzo is trying so hard to learn how to be gentle with him. He just loves him so much he isn't quite sure how to contain that emotion. He kisses Massimo more than anyone else, I think. Such a good big bro. Arianna loves to make him smile. She is getting really good at it and will just sit and 'chat' and laugh with him for the longest time.

I am so very blessed.

The other day when I went out in the back yard Arianna and Enzo were just taking a minute to rest. It was so cute to see them both taking in life for a moment, together. I only wish I would have had my camera earlier so I could have caught them w/ their eyes closed just relaxin; I made them stay put and this photo doesn't quite convey the message I was hoping. I guess kids aren't known for staying in one place, huh?!

A Saturday Out

With the wonderful weather we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take the 'big' kids to the BYU spring football scrimmage. I almost stayed home w/ the baby, but I am soooooo glad I didn't miss out on this one! Massimo slept peacefully at the Poggio's the WHOLE time we were gone (way to go champ!), and the four of us had a blast!

Enzo was in awe of it all, everthing and everyone was so big! Arianna clammed up a bit, her M.O., with so many people all around, but settled into it all once we got seated. Enzo took a stab at the football drills the players were teaching, Daddy got it on film, but he wasn't interested in a picture with Collie.

Enzo watched much of the game just like this, I could just eat him up! He wouldn't cheer for the Cougars, but he DID yell, "Go Dad!" about a hundred times! You can see where his allegiances lie. In addition, he sang B-I-N-G-O a dozen times to the guys in front of us, tried to wooo the girls in the seats behind us by standing on the folding chairs (which swallowed him up a few times) and saying, "I'm Big!"Marco and I now know that neither of them would really enjoy an actual football game as much as the two of us do, so we'll keep our 50-yard seats to ourselves for a little while longer and keep enjoying the Blue and White scrimmage with the kidlets.

Our Growing Baby Boy

Just hangin' out with the big guy!
Daddy is teaching him about life.

Precious little hand! Looks ready for tea time.

He sure is loved!

Sleeping like a log!

Soooo peaceful!

That belly is to die for! Marco just hopes he looses the 'outtie' before Jr. High.

Not his best shot, but look Mom, he can hold up his head so well!
Massimo is such an angel! He took his first trip to church this week, can sleep 5-6 hours at night (though he doesn't always do it), gives the most adorable smiles and has the sweetest 'talk', just wanna eat him up! He's learning that his hands are a part of him and enjoys seeing what they'll do when he moves them.
He's a keeper!

Easter Fun

Yea, yea, this is quite delayed, but here's a snippit from our Easter celebrations:
The kids were thrilled that G & G Poggio got a puppy, but no one was more excited than their daddy!
Arianna was the Easter bunny this year, bet that comes as a surprise to all of you; she has the giving heart for it though! Ears were courtesy of her cuz! Enzo didn't care a lick about searching for eggs filled with candy once he found a little Ferrari that was hiding just for him; that comes as no surprise to those who know him best! Every picture we have of him from Saturday's Easter egg hunt shows him holding fast to his new car (or working really hard to get it open), look closely at his little fist below.

By Sunday he was ready to dig into some candy, here he is about to fall in love with peeps! He hasn't stopped asking for them since. Arianna enjoyed herself as well, as you can tell.
Little Massimo (or Mass-Mass as Enzo would say) slept through most of the fun, and kept me company for worship at home while the others went to church. Such a peaceful and wonderful day! I know that My Redeemer Lives!

Nincumpoop?!

Arianna is always pretending to be a grown up friend of mine these days. She was in her pretend world this morning as she waltzed into the nursery w/ a flower. She told me her husband gave it to her when they got married (right after she asked me if it was a real flower or a fake one). I asked her who she married. She took a moment to think and then told me, "He's nincumpoop." I just burst out laughing. (You may wonder WHY she knows such a word, but trust me, she knows it is NOT a word to call someone. She learned it in a really cute book, trust me, it is harmless.) She cracks me up sometimes!

As an aside, she usually says she's going to marry her daddy, hmmmm... what does all this mean???! :)

Oh, and she got a new giraffe from her grandparents. She felt for him, he had nothing to eat so she decided to make a tree for him lest he starve. So thoughtful.
By the way, Enzo got a dinosaur from his grandparents. Try as we may we can't get him to say dinosaur instead of 'Dino-whore' I just laugh every time I hear it!

Have a wonderful day and be sure to laugh!

Just Because

We are still here. Just keeping a little more busy than before. Just a few photos that make us smile. Enzo having a little snack, he eats like a boy!
He plays like one too!
Arianna took some time to fall in love with her baby bro, but she adores him now!

And he loves her too!
