Friday!

Life is good! This kid is growing SO fast! Here he is in a little bear sweater that is 6-9 months, you can tell he doesn't have a lot of wiggle room! He is so content though! So sweet! Enzo loves to hold him any chance he can, even though Massimo is nearly as big as he is! This'll be interesting....

Last Friday we had a house full! My sister's kids came to play and I just loved to watch them do their thing together!
Enzo and Jacoby spent some time putting together puzzles. I think Jacob would pose all day long for the camera if you asked him to...Enzo was done after one! Too funny! Here he really gets focused!
Arianna and Joshua were busy with all sorts of chasing and swinging and...reading! They tired themselves right out!

Lucky for me AND the kids, Lor came with the reinforcements in the afternoon and we enjoyed playing all together outside. What would we do without her?!

Memorial Day

Since camping was out of the question this Memorial Day we decided to get a taste of the 'outdoors' in another way. The kids have been to Cabela's several times, but Marco had never been so we took a little trip to the point. I am not sure how excited about fishing these two will be since the coolest things they found in the Shrek fishing kit were these shades, but we'll try it out anyway. Enzo has the tough guy thang down! The kids enjoyed target practice, LOTS of animals, trying out the cots and of course, watching the fish feed!

It was fun to have Marco home just a little longer than usual! We loved relaxing and playing the weekend away around here. We just hope that the weather is more agreeable next Memorial Day!

Random Musings

Every time I take a walk around the neighborhood I wish I could peek over the fences to see how other gardeners have done their gardening. Ours is certainly not pretty...hopefully in another month when it is full of green stuff it will be. This is our first shot at garden boxes, though, and we have really enjoyed it! Since the picture was taken we have watched lettuce, spinach, peas and carrots sprout! We now also have eggplant; squash; tomatoes and, of course, strawberries! If only the keep growing, we'll be good to go!
Enzo has become quite particular about his footwear. Notice the boots even though it is warm enough for a t-shirt and shorts. In addition, he is DYING to ride a big bike now that Arianna is riding sans training wheels. Knowing him, he'll have it in no time!
There is nothing more wonderful than watching these two play together so well. They are truly 2 peas in a pod. What a blessing that has been! When I went to see what Enzo and Arianna were up to so early in the morning, I saw this: They were both just giggling and playing the morning away. Enzo is always the first one up so he heads to wake up 'Nana' as soon as he comes to. That ensures that she wakes up on the RIGHT side of the bed every day!
A couple o' guys just chillin' on Mother's Day. These two 'play well' together too! So handsome!

Gender Roles:

This was so funny to see! Looks like compromising at it's best. Enzo gets his way in that they are racing trucks around after each other, but Arianna is sure to include her babies in the fun.
Here is our little Ewok, too funny (on the right, not the left)!

And our missionary-to-be. He looks so tiny compared to Daddy's big hands. He is one happy guy, though! If only we could get him to stop scratching at his forehead in his sleep! Poor guy!
We are now expriencing cold rainy weather, but just two days ago it really was warm. See what I mean about peas in a pod? They had such fun together in the water...it was like they'd been to the circus or something!
Here is out little rider. She squeals with joy whenever she gets to go out and practice her newfound skill. She is getting so good, especially considering she has hills to practice on. I hope you can see the expression on her face. She is thrilled! Oh, and that unmowed grass and dead tree do NOT belong to us. Marco has done a wonderful job w/ all the yard work...thanks hon!

And here is our little driver. He experiences withdrawal if he goes too long without playing in the car. Thanks dad for catching these shots of them! This is what they love to do these days.

Oh the Places She'll Go!

Arianna has successfully completed her first year of schooling...preschool, that is. Here she is, ready for her "graduation ceremony." She was so excited to dress up and was excited to have us dress up as well (she has been talking about what we'd all wear for weeks now!)
The kids sang us a song that they had learned. Arianna's part was "His hair was made of spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti...and his name was Achin' Drum" and she has been practicing for more than a month I am sure! They did wonderfully!
Enzo gave her a congratulatory hug and then was off to play with all the cool toys there!

The proud papa...

and Mama...

and the best preschool teacher west of the... Atlantic Ocean! Thanks so much Mrs. Brooksby, Arianna has so enjoyed the year!
She has had such fun with all her preschool friends and is thrilled to move on to kindergarten...as long as she can take them all with her!

Way to go Arianna!!

Our little Photographer

Arianna can't get enough of taking pictures, here is a sample of her work in case you are looking for a photographer to hire!
It shows where her heart lies. She LOVES her doggies...

She is having a blast in soccer... and she loves her brothers! This one is my favorite! She really catches the mood of the moment, wouldn't you say?! Here she set Massimo up w/ her doll and dog to get the 'perfect' shot.

There she is, our little photographer! She is all about posing people (including herself) to get some shot or another.
