Random Musings

Every time I take a walk around the neighborhood I wish I could peek over the fences to see how other gardeners have done their gardening. Ours is certainly not pretty...hopefully in another month when it is full of green stuff it will be. This is our first shot at garden boxes, though, and we have really enjoyed it! Since the picture was taken we have watched lettuce, spinach, peas and carrots sprout! We now also have eggplant; squash; tomatoes and, of course, strawberries! If only the keep growing, we'll be good to go!
Enzo has become quite particular about his footwear. Notice the boots even though it is warm enough for a t-shirt and shorts. In addition, he is DYING to ride a big bike now that Arianna is riding sans training wheels. Knowing him, he'll have it in no time!
There is nothing more wonderful than watching these two play together so well. They are truly 2 peas in a pod. What a blessing that has been! When I went to see what Enzo and Arianna were up to so early in the morning, I saw this: They were both just giggling and playing the morning away. Enzo is always the first one up so he heads to wake up 'Nana' as soon as he comes to. That ensures that she wakes up on the RIGHT side of the bed every day!
A couple o' guys just chillin' on Mother's Day. These two 'play well' together too! So handsome!

Gender Roles:

This was so funny to see! Looks like compromising at it's best. Enzo gets his way in that they are racing trucks around after each other, but Arianna is sure to include her babies in the fun.
Here is our little Ewok, too funny (on the right, not the left)!

And our missionary-to-be. He looks so tiny compared to Daddy's big hands. He is one happy guy, though! If only we could get him to stop scratching at his forehead in his sleep! Poor guy!
We are now expriencing cold rainy weather, but just two days ago it really was warm. See what I mean about peas in a pod? They had such fun together in the water...it was like they'd been to the circus or something!
Here is out little rider. She squeals with joy whenever she gets to go out and practice her newfound skill. She is getting so good, especially considering she has hills to practice on. I hope you can see the expression on her face. She is thrilled! Oh, and that unmowed grass and dead tree do NOT belong to us. Marco has done a wonderful job w/ all the yard work...thanks hon!

And here is our little driver. He experiences withdrawal if he goes too long without playing in the car. Thanks dad for catching these shots of them! This is what they love to do these days.

Your kids are darling! Congrats to Arianna :) You'll have to let me know how the square foot gardening works out. I've been contemplating.

You'll have to tell me how you do your garden. I want to start one but don't know where to begin. And how did you get her to ride the bike without the training wheels?
