Seeing RED! and purple

I had filled everyone up on museums and ancient artifacts, so now it was time to pick up the pace a bit, so to speak. We headed north to Modena which is famous for the production of the world's best balsamic vinegar and Ferraris. You can guess which of the two factories we decided to tour...I mean our son's name isn't Enzo for nothing.
It was another damp day so we were glad to be inside, but even in the rain Marco thought this Ferrari beat his Audi by a LOOOOOONG shot.
Here is Enzo Ferrari's office
and Marco with The Enzo Ferrari which was built in Enzo's honor shortly after his passing.

Some of the world's fastest engines
and Marco's dream girl..., I mean dream car.
We drove back to our hotel just a little faster than we drove out that morning, just couldn't help it after all that speed we had just taken in.
The next day was more laid-back. We journeyed to Arezzo where A Beautiful Life was filmed.
Quaint little place. It didn't hold us there for too long because the weather had taken a turn for the worst. The wind and the cold drove us home early and landed us at the outlets. Marco just couldn't help but shop, shop, shop. He was pleased as punch to find the light lavendar pants he had always wished for! ;)

Seeing all of this trip makes me want to go back! There just isn't anything so quaint and so full of history here.
