3 Amigos

I was so tickled when I peeked outside to find this site.
The big guy could have gotten the job done substantially quicker w/o so much help, to be sure but these helpers weren't willing to spend any moments apart from their daddy, nor he from them, not if it could be avoided.

That was two weeks ago. The grass is certainly in need of a good mowing again. More importantly, we are all in need of some real good time with the big guy again! We made it! Today he comes home! Enzo has cried for him on nearly a daily basis, Arianna prayed for him at each sitting and Massimo repeatedly chanted his name hoping it would bring him home just that much sooner. I did a little of each and then some. Welcome home to the best dad and husband this little gang could have!! We love you!

Breakfast Musings

E: Mommy, how come I can't see my bum?
Me: Because it's hiding behind your jammies.
E: No, because it's back here (as he twists around the back to try to see his back side.)
Make it a great day! And don't strain yourself.

My Enzo

Yea, so my big boy turned 3...long ago!! Sorry bud. I have no good excuse for not throwing some stats up here from his exciting days of celebration sooner, but here goes.
First we went to G & G Poggio's for a Birthday celebration. He was showered with gifts and games of all kinds and then he enjoyed a Batman cake of his choosing. It was so nice to be able to celebrate w/ G & G. Thanks for having us up!

For his actual birthday we did breakfast in bed (though he didn't want to be awoken) his favorite dinner (always pasta!) presents and desert. Low key but enjoyable just being together. His sis was all about making it a special day for him.

He got all the gear he will need to become an all star, so tee ball, here he comes!
Then his buddies came over for some athletic fun. The pinata took the cake though! Anything with candy, right?!
Anyway, he is a big 3 year old now and we are so grateful for the sweet sweet young man that he is. There is more to add to his little story, but we'll have to tell those on another late night.

slc 1/2

The final Stretch--VERY emotional!

I made it!!
This is the place (and time)

A finisher...and the sister that inspired me by starting this running thing years ago...only she can run the full monty!

13.1 is SWEET

Months and months of running: wind, rain, snow, cold sun or shine has paid off!!! Congrats to these fine ladies who came in a few steps in front of me and who trained beside me in the months leading up to today. Way to go! After more than a week in bed with some crazy flu virus followed by a couple more days of migraines I wasn't sure I'd be up for today's race, but lots of prayers made it possible (and maybe a little will power). Arianna reminded me often that she was praying for me to get better.
My dear hubby got all the kiddies up at the crack of dawn and coralled them through the rather crowded streets of downtown SL to cheer me on at the finish and EACH one of my dear sisters put their busy lives on hold to come cheer me on as well; not because I had asked them to, just becuase that is what these wonderful people do. Some had a couple kids to bring along for the ride, and one even got up at an INSANELY early hour to drive us runners up to the starting place. Thanks Lors! Only you! I love you all! I have the BEST family in the world! Oh, and mom was on the cell awaiting results...emotionally! Love you all! Next year, we will ALL be wearing medals...right girls?! Arianna was diappointed that she couldn't go running with me each night when I put her to bed and headed out to run. So she and her cousin got to run the kids marathon and won medals of their own! Woo hoo! Way to go guys!
The rest of the kids were just thrilled with all the free stuff!!Thanks for so much support from so many of you! I could never have done it alone!
Anyone up for a run??!
